Everyone who is offered employment from a Shell company, whether directly or indirectly, is always required to go through a formal recruitment process.
There have been incidents where fraudsters pretend to recruit on behalf of Shell or where people claim to work for, or be affiliated with, Shell.
Emails from Shell recruitment end with ‘@Shell.com’, never from a public email domain (‘@yahoo.com’ or ‘@hotmail.com’).
These scam emails often contain poor English or, at some stage, a request for money from the recipient.
We recommend that you do not respond to these scam emails or any email that you do not trust and never disclose your personal or financial details to anyone you do not know. If you receive such proposals, we would advise that you contact your local police and provide them with all information you may have from the senders. To find out more, please read through our Fraud and Scams alert page.
